New Razer Blade Pro Laptop Is Built For Perfection

Razer Blade Pro Laptop

Razer has announced the new 17-inch Razer Blade Pro laptop. Built from the ground up to combine both portability and desktop performance, the Blade Pro is serious about being the go-to for gaming laptops. Portability is key and coming in at under an inch thick, it more than fits the bill.

Razer understands that high end gaming laptops have a place in the landscape. With that comes the understand that size and weight on gaming laptops makes them far from portable. Touting itself as the most powerful laptop under an inch certainly quells those concerns.

The Razer Blade Pro features the latest Intel Core i7 processor as well as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU. That alone makes it the most powerful system ever built by Razer. The laptop also includes Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, 32 GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. Gaming will pop off the screen with a 17.3 inch 4K monitor with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology. This will allow for the smoothest possible frame rates. The whole package weighs in at less than eight pounds which is heaven to those of us who have lugged around “gaming laptops” before.

Heat management can always be a concern with intensive gaming sessions. Nothing can ruin a gaming session faster than overheating without proper cooling management. An all new thermal management system includes the worlds thinnest manufactured vapor chamber cooling solution in a notebook. The vapor chamber helps reduce heat resistance and hot spots by spreading the heat quickly. A custom fan design and heat exchanger combine with the vapor chamber to maximize heat dissipation.

Last but certainly not least is the fantastic upgrade on the keyboard. The Razer Blade Pro is the first notebook to utilize Razer’s Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical switches. Each switch features true actuation and reset point. Keyboard presses register the same amount of force as full size mechanical keyboards. Razer Chroma is enabled on the keyboard as well as the trackpad; this technology allows for an endless array of lighting effects that can be customized by the user or synced to display in-game events.

The specs for the laptop exceed minimum requirements for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and OSVR HDK 2, making it one of the most mobile VR-ready systems for gamers as well as developers.

The Razer Blade Pro laptop starts at $3,699 and is expected to ship in November in the US and Europe from the Razer online store.
