AGM Playism releases a new trailer of Biblinthus, an interesting Doujin puzzle game, developed by indie veteran Platine Dispositif.
Biblinthus is a puzzle game where you create a dungeon in real time by dropping big sections of it into place. The goal of each level is to help Yonda traverse the dungeon and build up power to use a silver Key. Certain items fill up the silver key gauge, and when it’s full, you can proceed to the next area. Each piece has a unique shape, and most are bordered by stacks of books. The books act like a wall that Yonda cannot pass, and it’s easy to block yourself from continuing forward. If you get pushed off the screen, it’s game over. Some blocks also bring enemies into the mix, while others have some power ups. In order to make sure the pieces will connect at the right place, you need to rotate the entire map. The game encompasses the frantic, think-on-the-fly nature of Tetris and similar puzzle games. In order to give players a taste of the action, AGM Playism offers a free demo on the game’s store page.
The story revolves around Yonda, the Celestial Librarian of Wisdom, and her quest to bring balance back to the universe. The Gods are said to control the events of the universe through “Dice Rolls.” Suddenly, the Gods decided to stop rolling the dice and the universe was left to stagnate. The God’s actions don’t sit well with Yonda, so she decides to find them and set things right. Biblinthus will be available to purchase on May 27th.
The game is developed by Platine Dispositif, a Doujin Cirlce that has been active since early 2000’s. The circle is made up of one member: AEjuMurasame. His games have been released on PC as well as the PlayStation Network. His previous efforts include Gundemonium, a series of Bullet Hell shooters, that are available on Steam.
