Netflix Original Series Castlevania Releases Teaser

Netflix has released its first teaser trailer for the animated Castlevania series. It’s bloody, violent, and everything we want from a television adaptation of the action-horror franchise.

Castlevania is a series that is close to many gamers hearts. Even when the more recent games lost the initial spark, fans have always embraced the games at their heart of fighting evil with whips, holy water, and lots of patience.  So, it was quite exciting when a Netflix series inspired by the classic video game series was announced. The series will follow the last surviving member of the Belmont clan and his journey to save Europe by storming the castle and killing Dracula.

The series is being touted as “super violent” and “satirical” look at the vampire genre. Producer Adi Shankar told IGN in a recent interview that it was “Rated-R as F**k” and “Castlevania in the vein of Game of Thrones”.   Castlevania will release part 1 of season 1 on July 7. 2017 — part 1 will release as four 30-minute episodes.

Earlier this year producer Ari Shankar teased the series by releasing the official poster.

Netflix Castlevania

Castlevania was unexpectedly announced earlier this year but it was anything but a last minute project. Frederator Studios, creators of the animated series Adventure Time, have had the project on their plates for 12 years without being able to get it started.

Netflix original television series Castlevania will debut on July 7, 2017.
