Infinity Ward’s community manager, Rob Bowling, has revealed the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus map pack will cost 1200 MS points, or about $15 USD, when it releases March 30th.
Speaking in the latest Major Nelson podcast, Bowling gave details on what the downloadable contact should consist of. There will be three brand new maps to play matches on, while the other two or rehashes from its prequel, Call of Duty 4. To break it down even further:
- Bailout – An “overrun apartment complex”
- Storm – An industrial park “in the middle of a rainy downpour, tense thunderstorm”
- Salvage – An abandoned junkyard”, with a “snowy terrain”
- Crash – Urban map with a downed heli, one of the classics from COD4
- Overgrown – It’s “wide open, great for snipers”, the other map from Modern Warfare 1
This DLC is expected to be timed-exclusive to Xbox 360, while Playstation 3 owners have to wait. EA’s own Bad Company 2 map pack will deliver free content on the same day on both consoles.
