Next Month, Spawn Gets… Cute?

On June 6th, Spawn gets chibi-fied. This special edition cover will be a limited run variant of Spawn #220.

This is only one of seven different variants for that particular issue in honor of Spawn’s 20th Anniversary. Image Comics is releasing various “cute” variant covers of many of its top comic book. Last month we were treated to a Youngblood “cute” variant and are now given a Spawn “cute” variant. These covers are done by Chris Giarrusso, or, G-MAN. It looks like it could air on Cartoon Network and actually be successful. I would tune in for that.

This is a very special issue of Spawn as McFarlane is back on board for writing and art by Szymon Kudranski. In Spawn #220, 20 years worth of twists and turns will begin to all come together and embrace the full embodiment of Jim Downing. We will be able to witness all the core elements of Spawn return to light as a bigger mystery is about to be solved.

You can pick up Spawn #220 in stores on June 6th or you can preorder it right now from the April issue of PREVIEWS. Better jump on this chance now! One of seven variants will surely be missed if you dont have it in your collection. Think about it… you want all seven.
