During its Xbox Game Showcase today Microsoft officially announced State of Decay 3, the highly anticipated Zombie Survival RPG, to launch for Xbox Series X. During the premier trailer, we see a woman on her own, surviving in the wilderness. She encounters an undead creature, who she scares off with a fierce roar. Typically, State of Decay games show off community mechanics within desolate neighborhoods. Seeing a lone survivor in the woods is a far cry from their normal approach, and we are here for it.
Undead Labs found their footing with State of Decay 2 after a rocky launch. Between Crossplay and its immersive RPG systems, SOD2 is one of the best experiences to be had on Xbox Game Pass. Stay tuned for more details on what to expect from the third iteration of Undead Labs’ zombie blockbuster.
