Metro: Last Light displays Apocalyptic Beauty

These new screenshots are fresh from Gamescom. They may convince you that facing an apocalypse maybe isn’t so bad if it looks as beautiful as Metro: Last Light does. But beauty isn’t the only thing Metro: Last Light wants to convey. The first of the franchise in Metro 2033 had an almost palpable atmosphere about it. It was certainly aided by the graphical fidelity, but if it weren’t for the imagination and artistry that gets put into making these haunting, creepy environments games like these wouldn’t have near the impact that they do.
