Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Special Edition Announced

Fans of longtime Metal Gear Solid character, Raiden, will be happy to know that a Special Edition of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has been announced to release in time for the holiday season. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be releasing on December 5, 2013 and will include all downloadable content for the game. The Special Edition downloadable content boils down to the following:

  • 30 VR Missions
  • Jetstream Content
  • Bladewolf Content
  • Wood Katana Weapon
  • Five skins for Raiden, which include the Metal Gear Solid 4 Raiden Skin and Grey Fox Skin
  • Metal Gear Rising PS3 theme

Separately, they can all be purchased and downloaded for an additional $25, but they will come included with the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Special Edition at no additional charge.

As it stands, the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Special Edition has only been announced as a release in Japan and as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. No word yet on if the Special  Edition will be releasing elsewhere and if it will be releasing on Xbox 360 as well.

If we hear more, we’ll be sure to pass the news along.
