Max Payne 3: The Original Soundtrack Now Available on iTunes

Fans of the band HEALTH, who composed the original soundtrack for Max Payne 3, need not to wait any more than about a week since the iTunes debut of the first single to get their hands on the rest of the game’s score.

Rockstar has just announced that Max Payne 3: The Official Soundtrack is now available for download on iTunes for those on a mission for the album in its entirety.

The Los Angeles-based quartet, who gained significant interest from viewers last April with their ruminating accompaniment to the Max Payne 3 TV spot, have composed 26 tracks for the LP (the average length of each track at three minutes). Gamers will find everything from HEALTH’s brooding down-tempo beats, reverb-infused synths and haunting vocals to tell Max’s story. Says Rockstar of the band’s unorthodox score:
“HEALTH discard conventional balanced compositions and inject their signature melancholy noise pop into a score that helps propel Max as he transitions between his dark present and tragic past, giving each their own distinctive feel, while staying true to the heavy atmosphere of the Max Payne series.”
South American MC, Emicida, concludes the journey by lending a bonus track titled “9 Circulos” , which circles back to the Brazilian inspiration from which HEALTH also drew when producing the album.

Max Payne 3: The Original Soundtrack can be purchased here  for $9.99 USD. For more information about the game, which is available on Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and PC, visit the official website  and hear more of HEALTH’s music on their humble MySpace page.
