Mass Effect: Andromeda has Gone Gold

MASS EFFECT ANDROMEDA INITIATIVE – Weapons Training Briefing

Fasten your seat belt and get ready for the action. The month of March is coming and you know, it’s arriving quite heavy on the release front. One of those highly-expected titles is Mass Effect: Andromeda, the next Bioware game that promises to be a franchise changer. We are getting closer and closer to unlocking the secrets of that adventure and we just got one more confirmation. Mass Effect: Andromeda entered yesterday in its Gold phase.

For those unfamiliar with the word, this means that the game is done. Finished, ready to go. Developers may still work on the Day 1 patch or future roadmap (DLCs and other wonders), of course. But apart from that, Andromeda is completed and will arrive to all platforms on March 21 for NA and March 23 for EU.

In order to celebrate this milestone, the Bioware team released a brand new trailer: a Weapons Training Briefing. Check it out!

Mass Effect: Andromeda Expands the Fight

The fourth game repeats in basic weapon layout: pistols, shotguns, assault and sniper riffles, with familiar names from the previous series. However, there are interesting additions as well. Melee fights got a tad more interesting with the inclusion of Asari blades and Krogan hammers, on top of the Omni-Blade featured in Mass Effect 3.

The trailer also showcases new biotic abilities and also opens a world of possibilities regarding the usage of Omni Tools. These will have defense or offense layouts. Among other things, you can become invisible for some time or deploy a drone to help you in your fight.

When it comes to classes, Mass Effect: Andromeda brings us the following: Soldier, Vanguard, Adept, Sentinel, Engineer, Infiltrator and Explorer. Last but not least, battles should become a tad more interesting with the addition of jump-jets and a new dashing movement.

Are you as excited as us for this Mass Effect: Andromeda? Have you already pre-ordered it? Let us know in the comment section!
