Marvel and DC Worlds Meet at Amazing Arizona Comic Con 2013

In just over two weeks, The Amazing Arizona Comic Convention will be hitting Phoenix with its powerful punch of artists, innovators, and legions of their loyal fandom.

Among the most notable attendees are Marvel Comics mastermind Stan Lee, (creator of beloved characters Spider-Man, X-Men, and Iron Man, to name a fraction) and Jim Lee, Co-Publisher and top-selling artist at DC Comics.

Having just turned 90 years old, Stan Lee is a veteran of comic conventions. The fact that he will be giving away $2000 worth of his private collection to a fortunate attendee is nothing short of Walt defrosting his very head in the hands of a Disney fan. The event will also inaugurate Jim Lee’s first Arizona con appearance, conveniently preceding Warner Bros’ summer blockbuster-to-be, Man of Steel. A forthcoming comic series of the same name will mark 75 years since Supe’s conception on Krypton.

Tickets for The Amazing Arizona Comic Con, now in its third year, are available at all Ticketmaster locations for $50 per weekend pass, $35 for Saturday only, and Friday or Sunday only for $25.

Jimmy Jay, AACC promoter and co-owner of Jay Company Comics, anticipates the arrival of two incomparable comic pioneers to the event, which takes place January 25-27 at the Phoenix Convention Center.

“We are really excited to kick off comic book convention season by bringing two of the most high-profile
creators of the last 70 years to the Amazing Arizona Comic Convention in Phoenix. With two successful shows under our belt,
we have decided to move to one of the biggest convention venues in the Valley for 2013, and we plan to give
our fans another memorable show with our best guest line-up yet.”
