I know that the 3DS looks almost exactly like the DS. As recognizable as the DS was, that could be a problem. So Nintendo, being the creative people they are, gave Mario more lines than he has spoken in the past 26 years (minus the cartoon, live action movie, and live action show) to illustrate what is new in the 3DS that should make you want to buy one.
