Madden NFL 16 Has A Pretty Eclectic Soundtrack

Madden NFL 16

EA is revving up the unstoppable marketing force behind their hit football franchise starting with an announcement that EA Trax Soundtracks would be making a return for this year’s installment, Madden NFL 16.

The soundtrack will include thirty songs that stretch across several different genres and includes artists such as The Weekend, John Newman, Yelawolf and James Bay, just to name a few of my favorites. Unreleased songs from several different artist will also be premiering on the Madden NFL 16 soundtrack; those exclusive songs are coming from Brooke Candy, LunchMoney Lewis and Jimi Charles Moody.

Bills from LunchMoney Lewis is definitely a summer jam, even though it’s not being included on the Madden NFL 16 soundtrack, Hopefully, his “exclusive” song brings this same upbeat vibe:

You might be asking yourself why do sports games put so much time into their soundtracks, and why is this news? Well, the unfortunate side effect of loving to play franchise modes in sports games means you spend an insane amount of time in menus, and listening to the soundtrack while in said menus. The soundtrack has to be infinitely repeatable and enjoyable —  it also needs to keep you upbeat when your star quarterback gets injured for the rest of the season one week before the playoffs.

EA has also created a Madden NFL 16 playlist on Spotify so you can take a listen to the tracks that they have already announced for America’s favorite football game, and they will be adding to the playlist as the August 25th release date for the game gets closer.

Here’s the full track list for what EA has revealed of this year’s Madden soundtrack so far. Check it over to prepare your ears for the between-game tracks Madden NFL 16 will feature:
