Lost Planet 3 Remains Unfound Until Late August

Not only did Capcom get us all charged up with the barrage of awesomeness that we can expect from them over the next few months, but we also found out something that they won’t be delivering… at least until the end of summer.

You’ve probably been awaiting the third installment of the Lost Planet series’ landing since last month, when Capcom announced the Spark Unlimited’s third-person shooter’s release on June 25, 2013. Well, now you’ll be waiting four and a half weeks later to have an ice cold E.D.N III in your hot little hands, as Lost Planet 3’s release has been postponed until August 27.

The news was delivered Tuesday, conveniently cushioned by marketing-tastic copy that delivered a release date of Resident Evil Revelations in May, a time-traveling tease for Remember Me and the digital debut of Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicals of Mystara this June. Leading up to the subtle hint of Lost Planet 3’s delay was of course the confirmation of DuckTales Remastered—a hark back to 1989 nostalgia and a nice smoke screen to the update on Lost Planet 2’s prequel.

Regardless of the announcement, loyal fans of the franchise can anticipate Lost Planet 3 to pack an unpredictable punch of ground combat, first-person action and a range of multiplayer modes. The game will be coming to PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 on August 27, 2013 domestically and August 30 in Europe.
