Life is Strange Episode Four Arrives Next Week

Life is Strange

Life is Strange is twisting the dial on the conclusive episode, but has plenty of answers to dole out before that fateful day.

DONTNOD and Square Enix have announced through a blog post today that the fourth episode, entitled Dark Room, of their popular episodic series is set to drop Max straight into Arcadia Bay’s secrets. “Episode four is certainly taking a darker tone than previous episodes and it looks to reveal some of Arcadia Bay’s best kept secrets,” the blog post states. A trailer also accompanies this release date news, letting players glimpse into what will befall protagonist Max in this entry of Life is Strange.

Which of the many mysteries will DONTNOD put the spotlight on?

The third episode – Chaos Theory – took Max and Chloe further into their investigation of Rachel Adams and the Arcadia Bay disaster that seems imminent. The episode’s ending seemed to leave a particular mark with an ethical decision leading to quite the cliffhanger for one of Max’s compatriots. Episode four will be available beginning July 28 and will hopefully give some answers to the many running dilemmas.

In secondary Life is Strange news, the cumulative sales of the first three episodes has officially passed 1 million units. With episodes four and five still to come, Square and DONTNOD seem to expect plenty more sales to come, especially from those awaiting a full product before diving into Max’s ever-so-strange life. As a point of reference, Remember Me, DONTNOD Entertainment’s previous project, only sold a little over 500,000 copies worldwide when it released in 2013.

Life is Strange Episode Four: Dark Room will hit digital fronts on July 28 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Steam. Check out the new trailer below, but be warned of some spoilers, and potty mouth usage, for Dark Room in the process.
