LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Announced For Fall 2013

Marvel Comics fans looking for their own entry in the LEGO series of video games will get their wish this year. Warner Bros. Interactive and TT Games announced today that this fall, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes will be unleashed on literally every gaming device out there: the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, and PS Vita.

Playable characters confirmed for the game already are Wolverine, Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Deadpool, as developers promise you’ll be able to unlock 100 of Marvel‘s most popular characters in a campaign against Loki and Galactus.

“Fans of both LEGO and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we’re addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game,” said TQ Jefferson, Vice President of Games Production for Marvel Entertainment.  “If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you.”

One particular interesting thing to note: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is being published by Warner Bros. Interactive, the same company that holds the publishing rights to games based on DC Comics characters, including LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and Batman: Arkham City.
