The Last Guardian is Getting a PlayStation 4 Slim Bundle

The Last Guardian

Are you a follower of Team ICO’s games and are in the need of a new console? A French website has listed a pretty juicy bundle that will bring The Last Guardian and the PlayStation 4 Slim together.

Ok, at the moment it is only listed in a French retailer website called Micromania. But it looks pretty authentic. The Last Guardian arrives (finally) on December 7 and there will be a special bundle to commemorate this. If there were not enough incentives to get Fumito Ueda’s next (and almost legendary) work, now you just got an extra one. The offer costs 349,99€ but we still do not know how this translate for other currencies. Sony has not yet made an official announcements but we expect to get one soon.

The Last Guardian Arrives (Really) in December

Get ready, for the home stretch to Christmas is bright and full of highly anticipated titles. One of those is The Last Guardian – I mean, we have been waiting for this one since almost a decade. The Last Guardian seems to be a gameplay hybrid between ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. ICO was all about solving puzzles while accompanied by a ghostly figure you needed to keep by your side. In Shadow of the Colossus, a solitary character and his horse had to test their mettle against bosses of epic proportions.

The Last Guardian brings both elements together, somehow. We will need to solve puzzles and platforms accompanied by someone and this is Trico, a majestic creature. They are both trapped in a run-down castle and, on top of the perilous structures, there seem to be some bad folks looking for them. Of course, the environments and setting have Team Ico’s influences written all over their walls. Ueda has always accomplished evocative atmospheres with his titles so we honestly cannot wait to jump into this one. What about you?
