Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Arena | Green Lantern vs. Solomon Grundy, Aquaman vs. Cyborg

The latest round of gameplay from the Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Arena has been released by WB Games and Netherrealm Studios.

The Battle Arena, for those of you who haven’t been paying attention, is WB Games‘ weekly fan-voted contest as characters in the DC Comics fighting game are pitted head-to-head in fights to the finish. Those who vote on the game’s website, and then share their votes on Facebook and Twitter, get entered into weekly drawings for prizes like a collector’s edition of the game, collectible figurines, books, an arcade fighting stick, and more. Above you’ll find Green Lantern vs. Solomon Grundy, below it’s Aquaman vs. Cyborg.

The storyline of Injustice: Gods Among Us kicks off by seeing Superman and the rest of the Justice League deciding to take over the world – for the rest of humanity’s own good – after Superman loses Metropolis to a nuke set off by Batman‘s long-time nemesis, the Joker. It’s being developed by Netherrealm, the same studio that did the Mortal Kombat reboot, and it’s obvious the gameplay shares some of that style; the big difference is there are no “fatalities” in this one.

Keep checking back for more coverage, as we get closer and closer to the April 16th launch of Injustice: Gods Among Us on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
