inFAMOUS DLC May Also Be Sold As Standalone Title

Anyone who played through inFAMOUS: Second Son‘s story mode will know of Abigail “Fetch” Walker, a girl who holds within her some terrifying and destructive Neon-focused Conduit.

Anyone who became an instant fan of hers and wanted to know more are in luck, as inFAMOUS: First Light will be released via Second Son’s DLC next month and possibly as a retail, stand-alone version months further.

Today, Sony confirms that Europe will be shelving the stand-alone version of inFAMOUS: First Light on Sept. 10 and priced at around £12. The PlayStation store will hold the 25GB version of the prequel for download on August 27, while the US version of the downloadable DLC lands a day earlier.

In the game, players will be able to get a deeper look at Fetche’s backstory and will be able to uncover her dark, twisted past while playing through the game as the character. As far as the stand alone version of the game for the US, Sony has not released any details of that at the moment. The stand alone version would be a great way for Sucker Punch studios and for Sony to allow for fans and even first time players to get their hands on the inFamous experience without having to sacrifice memory or without having to buy Second Son.

Sony has released a small, yet still a mysterious trailer for inFAMOUS: First Light a while back. To view it again, check it out below.
