Edge Out The Competition With New HyperX Mechanical Keyboards

High-performance manufacturer of gaming products and accessories, HyperX, has announced two new mechanical keyboards. The two new keyboards are the Alloy Elite and the Alloy FPS Pro. For gamers seeking more bells and whistles in their keyboards then the Alloy Elite is just what they asked for. The Alloy FPS Pro, however, is geared toward the eSports community with a paired down look.  Both keyboards will feature Cherry MX switches and be available in late August.

HyperX has packed the Alloy Elite with a red LED back-light along with a total of six preset LED lighting effects. Somewhat surprisingly, the lighting effects will require no extra software to cycle through. Comfort also gets consideration as the Alloy Elite will have a detachable palm rest to pop on out-of-box. Additionally, the Elite model has a dedicated media keys section, a volume adjustment wheel, and a USB 2.0 pass-through.

Stripping out a lot of the extra cosmetic features, the Alloy FPS Pro is built for gaming and portability. In contrast to the Elite, the FPS Pro removes the media keys section, volume wheel, and USB pass-through. The keyboard is aimed at gamers looking for a tenkeyless gaming keyboard with a space-saving layout. The minimal size creates increased room for mouse movement. For those unfamiliar, tenkeyless keyboards are full sized keyboards that does not include the number pad found on the right side of most keyboards.

The HyperX Alloy Elite will be available in Cherry MX blue, red, and brown switch versions for $109.99. The Alloy FPS Pro, however, will only be available in a red switch version for $79.99. Both keyboards will be available starting August 21st from the HyperX official website. All HyperX keyboards include a two-year limited warranty.
