Homefront: The Revolution Has a New Trailer and a Release Date

Deep Silver revealed an online co-op mode called “Resistance Mode” for Homefront: The Revolution with a new gameplay trailer.

Resistance Mode is a four-player cooperative online mode. You can form a team with players online and play through narrative-driven missions across occupied Philadelphia. You can also customize a personal roster of characters, unlock new skills, and even earn weapon blueprints, rare equipment, and unique combat gear as you advance through this multiplayer game mode.

Xbox One owners will have exclusive access to the multiplayer beta first. The beta will run from February 11th-14th. In addition, registered members of the Homefront community may also be invited to participate in a preview of Resistance Mode. This will take place in a Beta Stress Test, which will be held on Friday, January 29th and Friday, February 5th on Xbox One.

Hasit Zala, game director over at Dambuster Studios, had some interesting things to say about the game.

“In addition to our epic 30-plus hour single-player campaign, we expect to launch Resistance Mode with 12 Missions, packed with re-playability, and hope to release another 20 Missions within the first year. To ensure our community can always play together, all Resistance Mode Missions will be free to download.”

Homefront: The Revolution will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC in North American retail stores on May 17th, 2016 and May 20th, 2016 in all other territories. Deep Silver has confirmed that players will have access to free content updates as part of an extensive post-launch support program from Dambuster Studios.

Everyone that pre-orders Homefront: The Revolution will receive the “Revolutionary Spirit” pack. It features unique skins and instant unlocks of select weapons for the campaign. In more detail, the pack includes: Red Skull motorbike skin and Golden pistol skin (for campaign), along with instant unlocks of the Marksman Rifle, Sniper Scope and Remote Explosives for your character in the new co-op Resistance Mode.
