Halo 5: Guardians‘ official gameplay launch trailer has just been revealed and it looks too good to be true: epic battles, large-scale destruction, and a rogue Chief.
Without spoiling any narrative leads, the latest trailer does a fine job of capturing what 343 Industries touts as “the greatest hunt in gaming history.” Chief and Blue Team are on the run and Locke’s Fireteam Osiris are hot on their heels as the Spartan-IVs are ordered to bring home the AWOL assets.
Flash a few concerns from Dr. Halsey, some Guardian destruction on what looks to be human colony worlds, and Chief defying orders from both the UNSC and Locke himself. It all looks and sounds promising, and Muse’s “Knights of Cydonia” adds a layer of intensity that amplifies the thrill.
Halo 5: Guardians is coming to Xbox One on October 27th.
