It’s being reported that Google will be launching its own cloud service starting next month, dubbed Google Drive.
From the screenshot, courtesy of the guys at TalkAndroid.com, we can tell that the service will come with 5GB of free storage from the get go, a huge blow to DropBox’s 2GB.
With the stranglehold Google’s Android platform has in both the phone and tablet market, this could be a swift KO for the competition, and it appears that Google Drive will also come with a desktop application.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on this and how it could affect the cloud storage scene, and bring you more information as we get it.
