God of War IV All But Confirmed

Sony is not very good at keeping secrets. We all know that a new God of War game is on the horizon and the latest bout of over-zealous CV flaunting has all but confirmed it. Composer Timothy Williams recently cited “God of War IV” on his resume, referring to the game as “upcoming”. This isn’t the first time the game’s existence has been rumored, with UK PlayStation magazine PSM3 previously hinting at a September 2012 release date.

The latest bout of speculation only backs up logical assumptions relating to a new title in the series, especially considering the fact that most of Sony’s AAA franchises run on a two year cycle and God of War 3 was released in 2009. The question is: will Kratos return? Or will Sony Santa Monica be brave enough to push a new protagonist into the spotlight?
