Ubisoft just released new DLC for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier titled Khyber Strike. This new DLC available as of yesterday October 10th features 3 new maps; Switchback, Palace and Transit.
Switchback takes place off the main road and down into the cities maze of alley ways and ancient buildings. This map was built around close quarters combat, so have those shotguns at the ready! Palace takes place in a museum that was once dedicated to wars of the past, but not rumbles with the sounds of gunfire once again. At the heart of this new map there’s an open courtyard where most of the fighting will take place to secure advancement in the map. Finally, there’s Transit, a metro station in the bowels of Moscow that makes for again some close quarters combat with only a single catch. As Ghosts and Bodarks battle head to head you’ll have to keep a close eye out for trains pulling in and out of the station. Better not get splattered!
Takeover takes it stand on the stage as a new multiplayer game mode. It’s similar to your regular Deathmatch game type but scoring points is the key here. The more you kill your enemy the more points are racked up. Turn the tides by taking control of enemy’s objectives and earn multipliers that will increase your teams score. How you go about earning the points is up to you! The team with the highest score at the end wins. Sounds simply enough, right?
Also released with this DLC is a new Guerrilla Mode map called “Village” that can hosts four players online and two players via split screen. Village takes place in a quiet little area that erupts in a hail of gun fire as fighting rages on around it’s bus station. From close quarters to sniping this map has got it all. Alleyways make it perfect for target practice for Snipers and the war-torn buildings leave it open season for any players that enjoy mid-range to close range combat. Be careful around the maps central gas station, it could turn explosive.
New achievements have also been added along with the new DLC as well as an increased level cap +10.
It’s available to download now for only 800 MS Points on Xbox Live and only $9.99 over the PlayStation Network.
