Genius Releases new Customizable Keyboard

Genius has announced the Imperator Pro, a new, highly customizable keyboard targeted at the gaming sector. They keyboard features 6 macro buttons and 3 different macro profiles, for a total of 18 different macros. This could be of great use, for example, a WoW player could have his Group macros, solo and in town macros. A gaming mode turns off the windows key to prevent accidental shortcut input that could take the user out of the game. The keyboard is designed to be comfortable and natural to use. Other features include:

  • Full speed professional gaming keyboard for MMO/RTS gamers
  • Up to 18 macro keys assignment
  • Full color 16 million pulsating RGB backlight with 3 levels of brightness and speed
  • Designed with up to 18 anti-ghost keys
  • 6 easy access media keys
  • Blue LED power indicator
  • 2 USB ports for additional peripheral connections
  • On-board memory to prevent command block

This looks to be a pretty powerful and adaptable keyboard. Definitely not for the casual user, who likely won’t take advantage of its numerous advanced features. But if you’re in the market for a high-end gaming keyboard, be sure to check it out. The Imperator Pro retails for $99.
