Gamescom 2013 | Killer Instinct Characters to Cost $5 Each

Xbox One owners downloading Killer Instinct for free will receive one character, but what if you want more than just one? Well, as we learned at E3, in order to obtain more than just the one free playable character, Jago,  with the initial download, Xbox One owners will have to pay for each additional character. At launch, there will be six available characters for purchase, at the price of $4.99, or the entire six pack for $19.99.

Microsoft has also laid out better options for purchasing which would definitely be most beneficial for consumers. The Combo Breaker Pack will include the six characters available for purchase at launch, and two additional characters which will be available afterwards. There will also be an Ultra Edition which will contain all available characters, and upcoming characters, costumes, accessories, and a copy of the original Killer Instinct from our childhoods for a $40.

Killer Instinct is an Xbox One “free to play” launch title, which is also a series reboot of the Killer Instinct series which appeared in arcades and in 1994 on the SNES.

Killer Instinct will be available on launch day for the Xbox One this November.
