Game Genie Returns On The Nintendo DS

Cheat codes are one of gaming’s most interesting aspect. Some of the classic codes will give your character infinite lives, a giant head, of maybe enable some funny glitches. In recent years, they have also been forgotten. Fortunately, cheat codes may see a resurgence with the Hyperkin Game Genie.

Just like the classic cheat device, the new Game Genie will give you the keys to unlock many of the best Nintendo DS games. Out of the box, it will support 300 games, but more cheats can be downloaded to it either via a computer or the Wi-fi capabilities of specific models of DS systems.

In addition to giving you 60,000 cheats, the Game Genie can also back up and swap games, and will be able to store and play mp3 tracks. If you want one, it will only run you about $19.99.

If you don’t own a DS, maybe there is a Game Genie for you elsewhere. Although the DS version is the only on currently available, expect to see PS3, PSP, and Wii variations soon. The entire Game Genie will be present at CES 2012, so we won’t have to wait very long for more information regarding those products,
