Furi Unleashes on PS4 & PC Next Month

Based out of Montpellier in France, The Game Bakers is an independent studio comprised of ex AAA developers. This team is mostly known SQUIDS titles but come next month, Furi might become their highlight game.

Since not many know about Furi just yet, many are asking the question: what exactly is Furi? Imagine if the creators behind Shadow of The Colossus, the Prince of Persia reboot and various Shoot Em’ ups got together and decided to develop a game. The end result would be Furi, a neon themed adventure where one on one boss fights is the main attraction.

In terms of style, Furi has that unique look to it that is sure to draw attention to itself. Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki has lent his talent towards this title, which undoubtedly gives Furi a spiritual successor vibe to Afro Samurai. Not only does the game look good but the action also flows extremely well, resulting in stylish action that’s sure to get the blood flow pumping.

In addition to the awesome combat gameplay, the OST used in this game works in tangent with what is occurring on-screen. By making use of the synthwave and electronica genre, The Game Bakers have given their stylish action title much more than a pretty look.

“Fight your way free in our frenzied all-boss fighter, and discover what’s waiting behind the last gate. Furi is all about the tension of one-on-one fights against deadly adversaries. It’s an intense, ultra-responsive game with a unique mix of fast-paced sword fighting and dual-stick shooting. Each of the formidable guardians —designed by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki— has a unique and surprising combat style that requires focus and skill to defeat. The high-energy action gets a boost from an explosive soundtrack composed by electro musicians including Carpenter Brut.”

Furi is set to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC on July 5th at a value price of $24.99.
