The Force has Restrictions for Those Who Do Not Pay

Star Wars the Old Republic will be going free-to-play soon. Many are excited to be able to play SWTOR without the monthly fee, however there are restrictions.

Those who continue to pay to play Star Wars the Old Republic, will be given Cartel coins to be spent on special items for the game. In addition, those who dish out the green will have full access to story content, character creation choice, operations, warzones, flashpoints, space missions (do people play these anymore?), cargo hold, inventory, crew skills, quick travel, emergency fleet pass, death, game login, and item equipping. Free to play players will only have full access to story content whereas the rest is limited.

All the features and their restrictions are available on SWTOR‘s website. For those unsure about how many Cartel coins you will have once free-to-play launches, you can check the amount here. There’s also a F2P Q&A page if you have an questions on or about Star Wars the Old Republic when it does go free to play this fall.
