First Screenshots of 'Tales From The Borderlands'

There have been a lot of questions about Telltale Games’ take on the Borderlands universe and there are still more to come; it’s a strange mix of studios. Thankfully, we have a little more perspective on how the final game will play. In a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, Telltale Producer Adam Sarasohn gave us some new details about Tales from the Borderlands, and some new screenshots to pour over.

On first glance, you can get a very good idea of what the game will be: we can see a speech wheel returning from The Walking Dead, the visual style of Borderlands 2, and some very expressive, animated characters. Telltale hopes to tap into the over-the-top nature of the Borderlands world and we have little reason to doubt that they will succeed.

We also learn that loot picked up in this game can be transferred to other Borderlands games. In regards to the story, it changes based on your decisions. Also, the game’s two main characters don’t quite have the same version of a similar story. Tales from the Borderlands will be released episodically with each chapter costing $4.99. Chronologically, the game takes place after Borderlands 2.

You can check out the new screens in the gallery below.
