From the looks of it, Microsoft should be quite pleased. Not only was the company able to outsell the Playstation 3, but also out-do the Nintendo Wii, something we thought we would have never seen. We know one thing, Aaron Greenberg is jumping with glee right now. As a mtter of fact, the Wii was the only console to have a negative impact in it’s sales.
- DS: 613K 191K (45%)
- 360: 422 K89K (27%)
- Wii: 398K 68K (-15%)
- PS3: 360K 83K (30%)
- PSP: 133K 33K (33%)
- PS2: 102K 60K (143%)
As for software, looks like the 360 also had a helping hand in that, notably with Bioshock 2. The PS3 version did not quite make it in there. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 seems to stay in the top ten monthly with both verisons selling at least 200k. The only good thing for the PS3 is the fact that Dante’s Inferno sold more on the console.
