Fallout 4 Keeps Growing with Survival Mode and Far Harbor

Far Harbor

Great things happening in the next two weeks for all Fallout 4 fans. Bethesda is bringing the new Survival Mode for consoles today while preparing its way for the full release of Far Harbor, its most narrative-driven DLC to date.

If you love Fallout 4, belong to the family of console users and like phenomenal challenges, you were probably anticipating this day. Bethesda is releasing the much awaited Survival Mode for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One today and bringing the next . This mode is an overhaul and no cakewalk for the wasteland wanderers.

It pretty much makes your experience tougher and why not, a tad more realistic. It works the same way it did in Fallout New Vegas, meaning not only that enemies are more unyielding than before but also that it will be systematically harder for you to proceed through the Commonwealth, even if you are not fighting.

Forget about fast travel and the joys of saving whenever you want. Now you will need to find a bed to save your progress, foes won’t appear on your radar, your ammunition actually will weight and tire you out. Oh, and say hello to the new plethora of diseases that will catch you off-guard. Searching for antibiotics and Stimpaks is going to be a priority for you. One good thing though: you will get access to the Adrenaline perk which increases your output damage and will surely give you the impression you can survive longer in all the madness.

Far Harbor DLC

Since the announcement of the first batch of Fallout 4 DLC, Far Harbor has been especially under our radar for a number of reasons. First of all, it’s the biggest DLC in terms of playing hours and it’s supposed to last quite a bunch. Second, it is the most narrative-driven DLC to date and it’s going to expand quite a lot on the story, giving you the change to play out the best RPG gamer in you. Last but not least, it brings the Children of Atom and Synth factions, which are equally badass and cuckoo.

If you have not checked out the trailer yet, you should. Bethesda released it a couple of days ago and it promises quite the atmosphere ahead. It may be quite a radioactive one, cold and damp, but the turmoils of this far-off land will fuel our energy and cruiosity all the same.

Far Harbor docks on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 19th.
