Elgato Game Capture HD60 Makes Waves

Following the success of the original Elgato Game Capture HD, Elgato have announced a re-imagined version of the device with some improvements. Most notably, the ability to record gameplay footage at 1080p – 60fps, something that many devices in this field struggle to achieve.

Elgato Game Capture HD60 Trailer:

Last year in 2013 the original Elgato Game Capture HD was in my opinion the best game capturing device of that year. The limited time I had to play around with one at a friends house I saw a drastic difference between the Elgato Game Capture HD and my AverMedia GameCapture HD. No input lag, no stuttering or jittering during racing games, and the biggest plus of all. The device never stopped responding and shut off randomly.

I will put my name on the line and say that this new Elgato Game Capture HD60 will most likely be the ‘must have’ device for game capturing in the foreseeable future. Based on the experience I had with the original device. I know that’s not something you’re typically supposed to do without putting a device through it’s paces first. But I can tell just by looking at this device that it’s solid, and will make game capturing a breeze for anyone interested in a YouTube or Twitch career.
