Turtle Beach's Elite 800 & Stealth 500x Bring DTS Headphone:X Technology to Next Gen Consoles

Turtle Beach showed us their lineup of headsets at E3 2014; we of course had a peek at their next-gen headsets which tout the latest in audio technology: DTS Headphone:X.

The Ear Force Elite 800 is Turtle Beach’s PlayStation 4 exclusive headset and the Ear Force Stealth 500X is the Xbox One’s exclusive wireless headset. That being said, both headsets are a high-end, top of the line completely wireless headset. Both headsets use DTS Headphone:X 7.1 surround sound technology, a first for headsets used with next gen consoles. With no controllers, cables and the ability to be completely wireless, these headsets will put you in the middle of the action. For those who don’t know, Headphone:X by DTS is a revolutionary new headphone technology that allows you to have true and accurate surround sound in your headsets, reproducing sounds with you at the center of it all.

The Ear Force Elite 800 has a first ever built in active noise canceling feature, a first for headsets on this next-gen console. There are two hidden mics in them as well to provide a boom-free look that we have not seen before with a PlayStation 4 headset. Presets will be available for customization using a new mobile app that comes with the headset. A sleek magnetic charging station comes with the headset and keeps the battery alive for 15 hours of gaming.

The Ear Force Elite 800 has beenclaimed to be the most “technologically-advanced wireless gaming headset ever made” by Turtle Beach; gamers everywhere can truly expect greatness from this exclusive PS4 headset. Retailing at $299.95, the Ear Force Elite 800 will be available this Fall; just in time for the holidays.

The Stealth 500x comes with mobile cables so you can use them while you game on your mobile device. You can also use this cable to connect your phone to your headset to get incoming calls and messages while you game. They also have a rechargeable battery built in that delivers 15 hours of gaming. Using the Xbox One’s optical connection and separate wireless channels for use this headset had the ability to have pre-set channels per game/user. The Stealth 500x will retail at $229.95 and will be available in the Fall.
