E3 2014 | Batman: Arkham Knight Live Demo

During Sony’s E3 press event earlier today, Rocksteady showed the first public gameplay demo of Batman: Arkham Knight. We got to see the game’s gorgeous graphics, an immensely large Gotham City, and Batmobile gameplay. It begins with Bruce in his office, suiting up for action. We see the intricate Batsuit reel itself around him, and the camera pans around to reveal Batman, and showing to us that this is completely real time. Batman dives out of a window and we get our first look at the new Gotham, a game world five times larger than Arkham City.

Rain refracts light, enemies populate rooftops, and cops constantly chase criminals. Oh, and then there’s the BatmobileBatman glides into the vehicle, using it to deftly round corners, and not so subtly driving through a set of stairs before demonstrating combat mode against one of Arkham Knight’s tanks. Martial law has been declared by Scarecrow and Arkham Knight— the militarized version of Batman who serves as your greatest physical threat. Batman will have to work harder than ever if he wants to stop this threat. You can check out the demo below.

Batman: Arkham Knight comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next year. For more E3 coverage, stick around The Game Fanatics for more news as it comes.
