E3 2013 | OddWorld is a Classic Reborn for PS4

One of your favorite Oddworld resident is getting the next-gen treatment.

Oddworld Inhabitants in association with Just Add Water have not only updated the much loved Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee from it’s prehistory 1997 release on the PSX, but it will be “revamped, remade, and reprocessed” in the Unity3D engine to spawn Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty.

Yummier and more packed with protein than ever before.

Fifteen years is an eternity in the gaming industry and after a five year hiatus, the wonders of the powerful new PS4 will be used to drag Abe into the modern age, complete with booming and lush environments, and even retooling level construction.

Where the original game used flip-screen gameplay, breaking levels down into sections to act as slides, the game has been modified AI, puzzles, etc., to provide a seamless game.

I don't know either, Abe. I just don't know.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty can be expected in 2014, but the price has yet to be announced for this classic. Stay turned to The Game Fanatics for all updates Oddworld.
