E3 2012 | And That's a Wrap

Well folks, that’s a wrap. E3 comes to an end for 2012. As the premier media event for the gaming industry, the top studios from around the world have once again come and shown off the best of the best titles in the works.

Now it’s just the waiting game. As I’m sure you’ve all been keeping diligent track of the news we’ve been pouring out (and yeah, whatever, I guess there are other gaming news sites too), you all know exactly what you’re looking forward to.

E3 seldom disappoints, and this year was no exception. Pulling in droves of industry professionals, hotel bookings fill up for blocks around the LA convention center.

E3 is important for more than just the specific titles that we see each year. It shows us where the industry is moving as a whole. With all the biggest developers in one place, it’s easy to compare, side by side, where exactly we see the trends in gaming going. The shift towards motion control, the rise of rhythm games, these are the types of things the shrewd viewer can take away from this expo, and it’s important information for anyone who follows the industry movements.

Sadly, as the show is over, everyone on site is probably getting booted out of their hotel rooms right now, and trudging their way back home. The Game Fanatics will be bombarding you with content in the days to come with all the awesome stuff we got to see. We really think you ought to see this stuff… seriously.

Also, keep an eye on your gaming news in the coming weeks, ESA stated it will announce dates and a host-city for E3 2013 sometime soon.
