E3 2012 | Star Trek Game Sees Familiar Faces

NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., along with Paramount Pictures, has announced that actors Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, who you may remember as Captain James T. Kirk and Spock in the 2009 Star Trek film reboot, will reprise their roles in the Star Trek™ video game which is set to release in early 2013 on Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3 Windows PC.

And they’re not the only ones. Much of the film’s cast is contributing to the title, representing characters like Uhura, Scotty, “Bones”, Sulu, and Chekov.

This new game will feature an all new original story that is being written by BAFTA award winner and God of War writer Marianne Krawczyk in collaboration with two writers and producers for the upcoming Star Trek film: Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.  The Star Trek video game is going to have a deep multiplayer experience that will focus on cooperative gameplay as players control both Kirk and Spock. Along with classic Star Trek style weaponry, environments, and enemies, Star Trek will make this experience one of the most unique multiplayer experiences this generation by seamlessly weaving Kirk and Spock’s complementary personalities throughout the entire experience.
