Fans of button-mashing and giant robots, rejoice! Namco Bandai has confirmed that Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn is hitting the US and Europe this summer as an exclusive digital release for the PS3. Siliconera reports that the game will feature online co-op as well as split-screen multiplayer.
Namco Bandai is promising that Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn will mash up 30 years of the Gundam anime and manga history, letting you swap pilots and mechs in one game mode, while also giving players their first opportunity to pilot the ridiculously large Mobile Armor units, like this one:
Naturally, if you’re a fan of the Mobile Suit Gundam series, you’re excited, and for good reason: while Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 received a lukewarm response from critics, the first two games in the series were simple, mindless fun. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn was originally promised to hit the PS Vita as well, and it has in Japan, but it won’t be released on US versions of the Vita, unfortunately. If you want to play on the go, you’ll have to import.
