Seems like the new hip thing for artists to do is no longer fashion, but…music? HP’s got Dr. Dre (and the Biebmeister), Sleek Audio’s locked arms with 50 Cent,  Harman AKG tagged up with Quincy Jones, and now Japanese manufacturer, Signeo, is looking to team up with rapper Ludacris.

The @SoulbyLudacris will range in price from $69 to $399 and will include both in-ear and over-the-ear models fully compatible with Apple’s iPod and iPhone products. The headphones are set to arrive in stores this spring.

“These headphones are aspirational, they’re about fashion, about culture,” Ludacris said. “You see kids nowadays just wearing headphones around their necks, not even listening to music sometimes. It’s become a fashion statement. And music, it’s my life, I’m listening to music everyday, all day. So I wanted to put something out there that was up to my standard — I’m a perfectionist.”
