DICE Talks About How Battlefield 3 Uses DirectX 11

If you ask me nothing really amazing came out of PAX PRIME this year. Well maybe the update to MineCraft has me a bit jittery. Something about NPC’s being created in the world gets my imagination running. But anyway, an interview was conducted by Andrew Burnes where he managed to get Kris Rey and DICE producer Patrick Liu to sit down and discuss all things Battlefield 3. Battlefield 3 is looking amazing, and with every passing month the game is looking better and better. In the interview Andrew ask’s Patrick what type of hardware might be needed to play Battlefield 3 at max settings, he replies “a couple of GTX 580’s, maybe” that is ridiculousness. Of course the game is running on un-optimized code  so he is probably right. I assume once the game is optimized for PC you could run it on at least a GTX 570 comfortably.
