Devil’s Third Coming to North America through Nintendo After All

Devil's Third

When Devil’s Third was first revealed to be coming to the Wii U , after no longer coming to PS3 and Xbox 360, a lot of people got pretty excited to have this kind of title in their Nintendo library.

As a mature third-person action game from the driving force behind the Ninja Gaiden series, Tomonobu Itagaki, it was easy to see why Wii U owners were ready for this kind of partnership. Rumors started to pop up that Nintendo of America deciding to not publish the game in North America. That rumor came about when word got out that Nintendo of America was not pleased with the final product. This comes on the heels of a few European gamers getting their hands on the final version of the game and advertising poor performance, lack luster graphics and repetitive gameplay. However, due to fan reaction to the rumor, Nintendo of America has ended the rumor and stated that they will be publishing Devil’s Third in North America.

That same day, the developers of the game, Valhalla Game Studios, stated that the “free-to-start” version of the game will be coming to PC. The developers state that the PC will “offer a multiplayer experience tailored for the platform.” Unlike the Wii U version, the PC version will be focused on multiplayer only.

The game’s director, Tomonobu Itagaki, also stated that Devil’s Third will not feature cross-platform multiplayer between the two versions. Itagaki says that “it would not be fair to combine the multiplayer environments of the two versions due to different control devices,” which in the end does make sense.

While we do not know the release date for the PC version, we do know that Devil’s Third is set to be released in the fourth quarter of 2015 for Wii U. Check out the new snippet of gameplay that showcases all the iron-sighted aiming you can handle and a man sliding up the stairs with a machine gun.
