A few more details about the iPad version of the upcoming Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition have been revealed. The game will support multiplayer (as the original did) and it will cost below ten dollars. Given that a single playthrough of the original Baldur’s Gate can easily take 60-80 hours, this is an incredible value.
“Baldurs Gate is a pretty big game and we’re not cutting it down to size,” Cameron Tofer (COO of Beamdog, the developer) said. “There’s a boatload of content there, 80+ hours. But past ten dollars doesn’t make sense.”
With every announcement, I get more excited for Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition. I am looking forward to putting many hours into the Bhaalspawn saga again. Look for Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition this summer, with the sequel, Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition to follow later this year.
