At the invite-only “Team NINJA | UNMASK” event at the Tokyo Game Show last night, Team Ninja dropped two bombshells on the gaming industry. The first was the confirmation of Dead or Alive 5 being in development and the second was an in-depth presentation of Ninja Gaiden 3. Now we were one of the lucky few who got to see the game in action at E3, but the showing at TGS included exclusive fresh deets about the story, gameplay, and more.

Ninja Gaiden 3 will include an online mode, Ninja World, where players control and customize an ordinary ninja to try to advance him to the top where Ryu Hayabusa himself reigns. The game will also have a compeling campaign which takes Ryu Hayabusa down a darker road that forces players to confront the consequences of their actions. NG3 will also include a new Play Style system which will allow casual players to choose automatic guarding and evasion assists (HERO mode) while giving core players the freedom to play with no assists.
