Dead Island Riptide Rigor Mortis Edition Revealed

Deep Silver, makers of the acclaimed zombie face-smashing Dead Island, has revealed the bloody contents of its Rigor Mortis edition for Dead Island Riptide. Deep Silver polled the Dead Island community, finding out what their fans really want from this exclusive edition. Tens of thousands of die hard, zombie crushing fans raised up their bloody pipe or wrench and answered the call.

Dead Island Riptide

Dead Island fans take note, the Rigor Mortis edition of Dead Island Riptide has some pretty gruesome, and by gruesome, I mean good, collectibles. Those lucky enough to get their hands on this will be treated their own zombie hula girl bobble figurine, a bloody zombie arm bottle opener magnet and a bungalow key with a branded wood keychain. In-game, gamers will get access to exclusive DLC content and digital strategy map to help you fight your way across the new island.

If players thought they successfully escaped the zombie infested island of Banoi, they are wrong. They are far from safe. Players will find themselves in water-soaked tropical locales, fighting new hordes of zombies. The nightmare from Banoi is far from over. Fans can import their saves from the first Dead Island, continuing their story in this terrifying new chapter.

Dead Island Riptide doesn’t only boast new scenes and new enemy types, but players will get access to a never before seen character class and weapons. Bring a friend or two. If you’re going to wade through the dirty waters, fighting off hordes of zombies, you better have some friends watching your back.

Dead Island Riptide comes out on April 23, 2013 on consoles and PC. You can pre-order the Rigor Mortis edition starting now. For  more about Dead Island Riptide, visit www.deadisland.com.
