Finally the children of the first flame are getting what they’ve all been waiting for. Dark Souls 3‘s first DLC has been leaked and an official announcement is coming soon.
Since it’s release in March earlier this year, Dark Souls 3 has had plenty of time to let players get to new game plus, new game plus-plus, or even new game plus-plus-plus. But one can only revisit and explore the same dungeons and die to the same snake headed monks until you want something more. Thanks to leaks from today and a trailer that has been taken down, we now know what Dark Souls 3’s first DLC will entail.
At this time not much is known about the DLC, but what we can glean so far is it will feature a misty snow area, a great sword with a colourless flame, new magic (some rumored spells are an ice storm and a circle of light miracle) and new armour. There are also some mentions of a new PVP area called the Immortal Arena. PlayStation may have leaked some of the information prematurely via Twitter – a quick confirmation the DLC will be called “The Ashes of Ariandel,” alongside a trailer that, presumably, was meant for an official announcement.
The information on the DLC is all here, but at the moment it’s all in Japanese. You can go to r/DarkSouls3 on Reddit, they know has much has we do though. The big news should be revealed in full tomorrow, so keep your eyes on the Game Fanatics and we’ll give you all the details just as soon as we know them.
