Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel DLC Coming on October 25th

Dark Souls 3

Yesterday we reported that an upcoming DLC would be announced for Dark Souls 3 called the Ashes of Ariandel and guess what? We were totally right, hold your applause.

The new trailer released by From Software showcases what we can expect from the DLC; it was as cryptic as you would have guessed from a Dark Souls installment. It seems the Ashen One will be venturing into a snowy region with a giant cathedral in it. Revealed in the trailer were new enemies, bosses and challenges as well as a bunch of new magic and weapons to check out including: the glowing boomerang, fire-breathing and Elsa powers!

If I had to make an educated editorial guess I’d say this DLC probably will revolve around a sect of some far out religion that has gone a lil’ off the rails. The self mutilating massive armour clad guy surrounded by candles in what seems like a church was the primary tip-off. The story may also include a forgotten Fire Keeper in some way – evidenced by the woman with grey hair who had her eyes covered – but it’s purely speculation at this point.

The DLC is the first to come for Dark Souls 3 and if Dark Souls 1 & 2 are any indicator it won’t be the last! You can pre-order Ashes of Ariandel now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One or wait to get it on October 25th.
