Clem’s Grown Up: The Walking Dead S3 Trailer | E3 2016

The Walking Dead Michonne did its best to stave off the hunger for a third season but only the return of Clementine can sate our needs. Come this Fall, Telltale’s The Walking Dead returns with a few surprises in tow.

Telltale Games unveiled the reveal trailer for The Walking Dead Season Three with IGN and teased us with the favorable return of the now grown Clementine. Just like with Season 2, Clementine returns as a playable character for the third act in Telltale’s zombie survival story. As pleased as we are to see Clem still breathing, we have information on the man who accompanied Clem in the reveal.

His name is Javier and he is the second playable character in Season 3. That’s right, not only do we get to control Clem’s fate but also that of this new guy as well. Javier has never been in any of the comics or the AMC TV show before.

So, just who exactly is Javier and is he crucial to the story? According to Telltale’s Job Stauffer, he is quite important.

“He’s been through a lot and he is central to this story. He is absolutely important to what’s going on,” Stauffer said during the reveal, explaining that Javier and Clementine “have a lot of common goals, if not a lot of common enemies.”

“This is very much a new story as much as it is a continuation,” Perusco said of the season as a whole.”

And that was pretty much all we got from the reveal and the Telltale staff. More details will trickle out in the coming days but for now, it’s just good to see Clementine again.

The Walking Dead Season 3 will return in the Fall. To continue getting coverage from E3 2016, stay connected to our feed and enjoy!
