After collecting data pertaining to the speed of their 4G LTE network from actual customers, T-Mobile has announced that their network is currently the fastest in the nation.
To provide clear evidence that they have the fastest 4G LTE network in the nation, T-Mobile collected data from more than one million customers using the Ookla Speedtest app. The data concluded that with 17.8 Mbps, their network is the fastest in the nation, and their 4G LTE speeds are consistently faster than any other carrier.
Currently, T-Mobile‘s 4G LTE network reaches 273 metro areas, and is continually expanding, meaning that more customers than ever have access to their high speeds. It has also been shown that in areas with 10+10 MHz, download speeds have measured up to 72 Mbps and upload speeds have been measured up to 27 Mbps. To put that into perspective, T-Mobile users in areas such as New York, Chicago, Miami, and San Francisco could download an HD movie in 5.5 minutes, or an entire album in 13 seconds.
T-Mobile also launched Wideband LTE in North Dallas in November and reached a milestone by delivering 20+20 MHz LTE before 2014. As T-mobile Wideband LTE continues to expand, more users than ever will be able to take advantage of the nation’s fastest network on a variety of devices including the LG G Flex, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, and the Sony Xperia Z1S.
